Within the project realization on 24-27 February 2009, in the village of Skavske in Lviv oblast there was the final seminar “Current state and perspectives of utilization of prohibited and unsuitable for usage poisoning chemicals located in Western Ukrain

Representatives of state authorities from Volyn, Zakarpattia, Ivano-Frankivsk, Ternopil and Lviv oblasts.

The following issues were reflected at the seminar:

1. Realization of the project “Utilization of toxic pesticides on the territory of Lviv oblast in the basins of transboundary rivers Syan, Western Buh”.
2. Requirements of current legislation, problems and ways of improvement. Responsibility of owners of wastes.
3. Current situation with availability, utilization during recent years and perspectives with maintenance of prohibited and unsuitable for usage poisoning chemicals located in Western Ukraine.
4. Records of quantity and storage state of poisoning chemicals. Ways of improving and unification of forms of keeping records on regional and state levels.
5. Provision of information for interested parties including public organizations.

In total 30 persons took part in the seminar.
