An ecologist from the International Charitable Organization “Environment-People-Law” (EPL) delivered a lecture for participants of the “School of Solutions Journalism” by EcoRubryka.
Kateryna Polіanska discussed the impact of military actions on Ukraine’s environment, the organization’s work in this field since 2014, soil contamination research, the consequences of pollution by explosive ordnance, challenges in demining natural ecosystems, key environmental issues in recovery programs, and the catastrophic effects on the Kakhovka region.
Following the lecture, a productive discussion took place with the school participants. We believe that this knowledge will help them in reporting on the environmental crimes of the aggressor.
EPL continues to study the consequences of warfare on Ukraine’s natural ecosystems.
