On 12-14 December 2017, International charitable organization “Environment–People–Law” (EPL) is traditionally gathering representatives of the civil society working for environmental protection.
This year the meeting will be exceptional because it will be devoted to introduction in Ukraine of the institutes of environmental assessment, the issue on which part of environmental NGOs have been focusing for more than a decade.
The Forum will consist of two parts. The first one will be the training that EPL experts will hold for participants of the Forum including lectures and role plays on strategic environmental assessment and environmental impact assessment. The second part will be the Forum itself where the participants will discuss perspectives of implementation of mechanisms of environmental assessment and joint plans and challenges for environmental movement in the following year.
The Forum starts: on 12 December 2017, at 10:00 a. m. Venue: “Drevniy hrad” hotel, Lviv, http://drevnygrad.com.ua
We invite representatives of environmental non-governmental organizations that registered and received confirmation from EPL about participation by 1 December 2017. EPL will cover costs of lodging, food and transfer from Lviv to the Forum venue and back for participants that will receive confirmation about participation. In the selection process priority will be given to those participants who will substantiate practical need to master mechanisms of environmental assessment.
