Eco-labelling is a symbol, an image or a wording on a label of a particular product or in its documentation indicating the environmental aspects of the product. Eco-labelling is intended to inform a consumer in a concise manner about the environmental benefits of the product and persuade him to buy the product that will have less impact on the environment. Eco-labelling symbols may vary.
According to survey conducted in November-December 20181, for 30 % of citizens, eco-labelling plays an important role in purchasing decisions. At the same time, 35 % never pay attention to labels, and more so in the South and East. 8 % of respondents do not know what eco-labelling is at all, and more so in the West.
Some products are eco–labelled, which certify that they are environmentally friendly. Which of the following points of view is closest to yours? (% of all respondents, N=2034, NWest=565, NCenter=697, NSouth=497, NEast=275)
Most attention is paid to eco-labelling by representatives of youth with university degree, high or middle income and those working as specialists, entrepreneurs or self-employed.
