How can each one of us make the change happen in waste management in Ukraine?
On 26-27 September 2017, International charitable organization “Environment-People-Law” and NGO “Environmental initiatives” are holding the seminar “How can the public influence behaviour change in waste management in Ukraine?”
The seminar intends to promote eco-friendly behaviour and increase the public impact in resolving waste disposal problems. The discussion will cover various aspects of waste management, from financing to legal questions, also providing best EU practices on the field.
Participants of the seminar will be able to discuss the means of waste prevention and minimization, methods of recycling and composting, and other concepts such as resource preservation and recovery, prevention of waste incineration and landfilling. Moreover, the ways of increasing the public engagement in resolving waste disposal problems will be at issue of the round table discussion.

Background: The seminar is held within the EU funded project “Ukrainian civil society for European style waste management” (the budget 493 086 Euro; duration – July 2016 – July 2019) implemented by EPL and EI. The goal of the project is to increase the effectiveness of waste management system in Ukraine with the aim to decrease the negative impact of waste on the environment
