Environmental calendar

The compendium is devoted to major environmental holidays observed in the whole world and in Ukraine
in particular, in honor of mountains, water, the sun, forests and other natural resources. Th e publication
contains information on events that emphasize creation of protected areas, importance of environmental
education and awareness-raising.
Th e environmental calendar describes days of fi ghting with anthropogenic threats for the environment,
signing environmental conventions and also attracts attention to various animals, their observation and
protection. Th e authors indicate the days of creation of environmental non-governmental organizations
that protect the environment, support, restore and improve its state.
