The future of Europe is at stake and risks are increased elsewhere. The toleration of aggression endangers all of us and the environments that we all hold dear.
Environment-People-Law, Ukraine (EPL), is asking for your help in the face of the Russian invasion of their country. War is the ultimate destroyer of the humanity and the environment that EPL team work every day to protect.
You can speak out publicly and call on your own governments as follows.
1. Devastating sanctions should be imposed on Russia, including blockading of SWIFT banking transfers.
2. There should be an embargo on Russian oil, gas.
3. Countries should isolate Russia by all means, in all formats.
4. Support is needed to lobby a No-Fly Zone over Ukraine. This practice was used earlier in Libya in 2011 when NATO suspended all flights over the country’s territory. This crucial military action should be introduced to protect Ukraine from Russian jets, drones, and missiles.
5. Weapons, equipment should be provided for Ukraine.
6. Financial assistance and humanitarian assistance should be provided.
7. Political support is needed to stop the invasion on land.
